Ryan Baron: OF/LHP, (2022) St. Louis Catholic, LA. 6-foot-2, 155-pound projectable frame. In the box, the switch hitter clocked an exit velocity of 86 mph. Started in a balanced stance with a small load, then used a short stride before his swing. Had a level swing plane, as well as quick bat speed and good extension on his finish. Line drive approach. His best position velocity in the outfield was registered at 83 mph; has consistent footwork and soft hands. Used a long arm action and an-over-the-top slot. The athletic recruit showcased his speed with a sub-seven 60 time of 6.95. On the mound, had a high ¾ angle and a long arm action with quick arm speed. He is a tall-and-fall type pitcher who uses some effort. Has a tall balance point with even shoulders. Has an athletic finish and lands square. Curveball (64-66 mph) worked best when he spotted up low in the zone. Changeup (70-72 mph) was most efficient when pitched in sequence with his fastball. His fastball came in at 78-82 mph and topped out at 82 mph; shows in the zone control and running action.


Wiry, high-waisted 6-feet-2, 145-pounds, lengthy limbs and athletic prowess. Ran with long strides and quick tempo for 6.85 60-yard dash. Upright stance in right handed batter’s box, hands elevate at load, bat path straight down to meet ball, extends off of hip rotation. Shows good pop off of the barrel with 86 mph exit velocity off of the tee. Simple approach on balls in outfield, gathers energy well, long arm swing with left-handed throw, shows good extension and accuracy at 80 mph. On the mound, Baron shows quick tempo, speedy on back side with lengthy arm swing, and spins ball well. Fastball was 79-80 mph, curveball had heavy downward pull with 12/6 shape at 66-68 mph, and changeup showed fade at 71-72 mph.
