Aaron Forgues: RHP/OF, (2022) St John Shrewsbury, MA. 6-foot-1, 165-pound solid frame. Solid in the box, Forgues had a max exit velocity of 82 mph. Starts in an athletic stance with a controlled load, then uses a closed stride. Bat speed was some, showed a flat swing plane and good extension on his finish. Was able to create some loud contact and found multiple barrels. Gap to gap approach. Solid in the outfield, his best throw of the day was clocked at 86 mph; has a natural exchange, choppy feet, and sure hands. The glove work is shown to the side Used a long arm action with a high ¾ slot while showing consistent accuracy to the base. Capable on the mound, using a long arm action he showed some arm speed from an over-the-top arm angle. Feel type pitcher who shows some effort. Displays falling off shoulders with a consistent balance point. Lands open with a falling off finish. Sat with his fastball at 76-77 mph; has decent command and tilt. Has in the zone control and sweeping action on his 12/6 curveball (60-62). Had control low in the zone and fading action on his changeup (63-64).

Hit: (RHH) Starts in an athletic stance with a controlled load, then uses a closed stride. Some bat speed. Good extension on his finish, flat swing. Gap to gap approach. 

Power: 82 mph exit velocity, average 75.43 mph. 63.53 mph bat speed average. 21.28 mph hand speed average.

Defense:  (OF) Sure hands, choppy footwork, natural exchange. Solid. Fields the ball to the side. 

Arm: 86 mph outfield velocity. Long arm action, high ¾ slot, consistent accuracy. 

Pitching: Capable. Feel delivery, some effort. Over-the-top arm angle, some arm speed, long arm action. Consistent balance point, falling off shoulders, lands open, a falling off finish.

FB: T77. 76-77 mph. (Max spin 1784;  Avg 1738). Decent accuracy, tilt. 

CB: 60-62 mph. In the zone command, sweeping action, 12/6 shape. 

CH: 63-64 mph. Low in the zone command, fading action. 

Forgues is a 6-foot, 150 pound, right-handed hitting outfielder. He hits from a narrow, slightly open stance. The hands are relaxed, just off the back shoulder. The swing begins with a small leg kick, allowing the weight to get stacked onto the back leg. The bat path is slightly elevated, as the weight remains mostly on the back leg through extension. During the batting practice he showed the ability to spray the ball gap to gap with an exit velocity of 80.2 MPH.

Defensively, Forgues has good footwork in his approach to the baseball. The glove is relaxed, just off the front foot. As he fields the ball, he transitions the ball into a long arm swing that produces a velocity of 73 MPH on his throws. He also ran a 7.6 second sixty.

On the mound, he uses a methodical, balanced delivery. He attacks hitters with a short ¾ arm swing that produces late run on fastball 74-77 MPH. The braking ball was a sweeping shape and ranged 58-60 MPH.
