Holland is a tall, lanky 6-foot-5, 165 pound left-handed pitching prospect. He uses a controlled, balanced delivery to attack hitters. His feet stay in line down the mound and allow him to pitch on both sides of the plate. The fastball showed some life and sat 78-81 MPH. The breaking ball is a big sweeping pitch at 62-65 MPH. He also showed a change-up that registered 70 MPH.
Holland is a good looking left-handed pitching prospect. The fastball has life and there is room on that 6-foot-5 frame for added strength.
6-foot-2, 140-pound left-handed pitcher. The fastball touched 72 mph, arm side run to the pitch. The changeup showed a good difference in velocity and a slight amount fade. The changeup sat at 60-61 mph. The spin pitch is in the repertoire but he hasn't been throwing them yet this winter so he held off. The delivery is online with the feet, above 3/4 in slot. Small head lean as he gets into foot strike. The glove has minimal pull to it as he comes off target prior to getting his stride foot down. The arm works very well and he projects to be a good one down the road. Should be an interesting prospect with another 30 pounds and 2 years of pitching experience.
