5-foot-10, 155-pound, longer, lean, wiry strong athletic frame. The shoulders are squared off, back is wide, showing to have room for added weight gains. A right-handed hitting catcher, at the plate, starts slightly open, wider than shoulder width. The hands are loaded at the shoulders, bat having tilt. The hands are back on foot strike, short to the ball, barrel is in the zone a long time, approach is more middle to pull, finishes the swing higher with two hands. Gaining ground with stride, gets momentum to and through contact. The exit velocity was clocked at 86 mph and ran a 7.88 sixty-yard dash. Behind the plate, setup is athletic, moves well. The transfer is clean and smooth, feet replace each other. The arm action is whippy, working from a natural slot, clocked at 73 mph and had a pop time of 2.10-2.16. The arm looks to have another jump in strength at some point. Solid looking catching prospect.

Walsh is a 5-foot-9, 150 pound prospect. The right-handed hitting catcher had an exit velocity of 79 mph off the tee. He hits out of a wide base, the weight sitting on the back leg, with the hands set just off the back shoulder. The load is short and allows Walsh to get into a good launch position. The bat-head moves through the hitting zone on a flat path and stays on plane well through contact.

Behind the plate, Walsh showed a strong arm. He was 73 mph on his throws, with a quick transfer. The stance is balanced, with the glove relaxed in the center of the chest. As he begins to transfer into the throwing position, the feet are athletic. He glides into a square position, in line with the target. The hips and shoulders stay over the feet, without getting tall too early. He works through the throw, in line and finishes over the front leg, with good extension.

Walsh is a good looking catching prospect. He receives well, the footwork is good and the arm is strong.
