There is little to no load and hits with the weight over the front leg. The swing plane is flat and produced a max exit velocity of 76.3 MPH during the batting practice. He also ran 7.34 second sixty.
Defensively, Ortiz was 64 MPH on his throws from the outfield. The feet moved well as he approached the ground ball. He drops to a knee as he fields, with the glove out in front.
