Evan Julian: OF/LHP, (2023) The Governor's Academy, MA. 5-foot-9, 170-pound athletic lean frame. Projectable and capable in the box, the left-handed hitter clocked an exit velocity of 84 mph. (61.5 mph bat speed average). (20.0 mph hand speed average). Begins in a balanced wide stance with a small load, then uses a small stride. Bat speed was developing, displays an uphill loose swing plane and high finish. Through the round he found some barrels with loud contact. Line drive approach. Projectable from the outfield, he showed the ability to throw at velocities up to 80 mph; had athletic consistent footwork, a clean natural exchange, and developing soft hands. Movements laterally were developing and he fields the ball out front. Showed a loose arm action and a high ¾ slot with consistent accuracy to the base. Projectable athletic on the mound, had a short loose arm action and a high ¾ arm angle with developing quick arm speed. Feel type pitcher and showed some effort. Has a consistent balance point with in line shoulders. Lands closed with an athletic finish. Sat with his fastball at 73-74 mph; had command in the zone arm side and running action. (Max spin 2135; Avg 1961). Had sweeping action and glove side in the zone control on his 10/4 curveball (65-66). (Max spin 1849; Avg 1815).
