8/17/16

Versatile athlete who can play just about anywhere on the field. Runs it down in the outfield, shows good awareness off the bat. Threw 84 from the outfield with accuracy. At first, he has an excellent glove and handles the position with ease. Ran a 4.63 on his dig to first base, that will need to go back down to where it was last year. The bat has plus life from both side, tee exit velocity of 94 mph from the right side and 92 mph from the left side. The set ups are very similar from both sides. Wide base, slight bat wrap and quick hands. The path is flatter from the right side as opposed the left side. Shows power from the right side as well. On the mound, shows plus stuff. The fastball is 82-84 mph with sink and action to it. The spin pitch is plus, with depth, sitting at 74 mph. Showed an average changeup at 78 mph, small tweak can fix that up. Good looking prospect.

3/9/16

Quick armed left-hander who has a good feel for pitching. The delivery has some coil at the top of the life, and he has effort in the sequence. This leads me to believe he would be an excellent reliever in college. The fastball was 82 mph and had life to it. The breaking ball is plus, has depth and tilt, touched 72 mph. I believe it’s a plus out pitch. Changeup is 77 mph and needs a ball rotation tweak. This guy plays positionally as well, I think he's a legit two-way guy. Big follow.

12/13/15
Switch-hitting outfielder and first baseman who had a monster workout. Frank also pitches, showing a legit breaking ball from the left-side but only worked out as a positional player at this event. The body is much stronger, as the bat had a great deal more authority to it compared to last summer. The tee exit velocity from the right-side was 92 and 89 mph from the left-side (huge improvement). His set up from both sides is similar. Even base with a flat approach with his path. From the left-side his hands are lower but he has adjusted slightly to get above the ball from the left side. The right-handed swing is flat and has leverage to it. Ran a 7.15 60-yard dash. From the outfield he threw 81 mph with accuracy and carry. As a first baseman, he shows an outstanding glove and the ability to handle all throws on and behind the bag. He threw 79 mph from first base. Making big strides in his game.

8/5/15
Switch hitting outfielder and first baseman. Excellent around the bag at first and handles the footwork well.  Ran a 7.0 and gets off the ball in the outfield extremely well. Shows up to play and works at his craft. He can play either position. At the plate, he is more advanced from the right-side, wide base and flat path. Tee exit velocity of 89 from the right side. The left side needs some work from a low hand set up, tee exit velocity of 87.  The hands are loose from both sides and paths are similar. Throwing is easy for him out of a high ¾ slot, threw 75 from the infield and 82 from the outfield. Good looking prospect.  Keep in mind, he pitches as well.  Good spin from the left side.

6/30/15
A switch hitting first baseman, outfielder and left-handed pitcher. Frank skills are multi-dimensional. For this event, he just swung the bat and showed the glove skills as he had pitched prior to the event. The glove and feel is excellent around the bag at first. His footwork is proper. Ran 7.09 60-yard dash, which is an improvement from the last time I saw him run. His right-handed swing is a tick more advanced as its flat and under control, tee exit velocity of 88 mph. There is leverage and strength to the right-handed swing. The left-handed swing isn't as clean but it works, and with reps could be as good. Even base from both side and his hand control from the left side needs to be raised a tick as he tends to drop and lag the barrel from the left side. Good looking hitter, as he swung the bat well in the game.

2/28/15
Clean arm swing with a good feel to his delivery. ¾ slot with a nice short path on the back half. Fastball sat in the mid-70s with good action and run. Spin pitch is above average at 66-67 and should be an out pitch at the level. Changeup was 71-72 with good action and depth to it, he throws it with the same arm speed.

11/1614
5-foot-10, 175-pound two-way prospect who put on quite a showing in Shrewsbury. An exceptional athlete. 80 mph from the outfield and 74 across the diamond at first. Showed excellent glove work and feet at first. Ran a 7.25 and swung the bat from both sides of the plate. The right-handed swing is flat and short to the ball. Frank sets up a bit wider than even and the bottom half movement is limited, helping his stay in position to hit. The left-handed swing is a bit longer and shows pull side power. It is safe to say with work, he could hit from both sides at the next level. On the tee he displayed an exit velocity of 87 and 88 respectively. On the bump the arm works fast and clean out of a tick higher than a 3/4 slot. Fastball touched 78 and the spin is plus at 68. The changeup was good and had depth at 73. Showed a slider/ cutter at 69. The delivery is closed at lift and he spins off a bit but tons to like on the mound as he has three advanced pitches already.
