New Engalnd Procase

5-foot-10, 158-pound, extremely athletic frame, a twitchy athlete that has explosiveness to him. A right-handed hitting middle infielder, that will probably make a move to the outfield at the higher levels.  The top tool is his overall speed, a legit 6.6 runner. At the plate, even feet, loose higher hands, swing is level through the zone, finishing above the shoulders with a one handed finish. The approach is more line drives from the middle to pull side. Looks to be able to handle the bat, contact top of the order type hitter. The tee exit velocity was clocked at 84 mph. Defensively, threw 81 mph across the diamond, approach and footwork is correct and under control. The glove is soft, clean transfer. Showed solid turns from both sides of the bag. Big time athlete, game will take off with reps and experience.

5-foot-10, 160-pound right-handed hitting utility player.  In the infield, the feet are active and gets into a good fielding position.  The glove is soft and in a good position as he fields.  He moves well laterally and the arm is clean.  He was 79 mph across the diamond with a long arm swing. In the outfield, he showed a lot of athletic ability.  His feet are active and showed the foot-speed.  The arm was long and 84 mph with carry. The bat had a tee exit velocity of 84 mph.  The stance begins open and the hands move back into the launch position. The leg kick is quick and gets a little heavy on the backside. As a result, the bat path is flat and hits around the ball. Evening out the load and raising the hands will clean this up.  The bat-speed is definitely there and showed the ability to drive the ball to the pull side. This is an athletic player who can play all over the field.

5-foot-10, 145-pound, wiry strong athletic frame. The neck is longer, shoulders are squared off, has room to fill out and put weight on. A right-handed hitting middle infielder, top tool are his leg and overall athletic ability. Ran the sixty-yard dash in a quick 6.72, straight line speed is advanced. At the plate, stance is balanced throughout, front foot slightly open and wider than shoulder width, gets back to even with stride foot. The hands are relaxed, bat is flat above back shoulder. For timing uses a small leg kick, the swing is short to the baseball, level through contact and finishes high with one hand. The tee exit velocity continues to climb, jumped to 79 mph. The approach is more line drive from gap to gap.  Defensively moves extremely well from side to side, works low to ground and keeps the feet moving throughout. The glove is soft, easy clean transfer with one step and the throw. The arm works out of a natural ¾ slot, clocked at 72 mph, has more in there. Projects for me at second more, with ability to work on the left side, good follow.

In the outfield, threw 78 mph with an athletic approach and under control. The glove in the infield is improving immensely, the approach to the ball and the glove are solid. Threw 75 mph across the diamond with an easy level and under control. The bat has a tee exit velocity of 78 mph. Physical strength is a must for him, as he has the tools to be a guy. Sets up with his feet even, slight hand drop as the ball approaches causing the bat to bat a tick long. The bat speed is good, flattening and getting the hands inside should take him places.

5-foot-9,130 pound quick twitch right-handed hitting infielder and outfielder. Ran a 4.10 down the line on his dig to first base. The frame is slender now but looks as if it will fill out in the coming year. The glove is solid at shortstop, needs to continue to improve working through the ball to aid the throwing. The throwing path is long and clean. The hands are good enough to handle the pivot. Threw 73 mph across the diamond with accuracy. I like him in the outfield as well, showcases his foot speed, which is plus. Good follow in the middle of the field. The bat has a tee exit velocity of 76 mph, as physical strength additions is warranted. Hits out of a wide base, limited movement on the bottom half of the swing, stays under control. Slight bat wrap as the swing is initiated. The hands work clean and and he has a feel for maneuvering the barrel.  Singled to center in the game. On the mound, the fastball touched 74 mph out of a plus ¾ slot. The breaking pitch was 61 mph, needs more fastball hand speed to it. The changeup is a work in progress, sits at 63 mph. The delivery is online, small back arch as he makes his way into foot strike. The glove comes across the hitters face as he makes his way to the plate. The lift is athletic and repeated. Follow as a positional player.

5-foot-9, 130-pound right-handed hitting infielder. Good athlete who can move very well, and is just tapping into his athleticsm. Ran a 4.26 down the line on his dig to first base. The glove is solid in the field, the prep steps and work to and through the ball need to continue to improve. Essentially, as he gets physically stronger his feet should smooth right out defensively. Threw 71 across the diamond. The bat has a tee exit velocity of 75 mph. Starts with a wide base, the bottom half is under control throughout the swing. Slight bat wrap as he gets into moving the barrel. The hands work clean. Getting stronger is the name of the game for this player, as his skill set is trending the right way.

On the mound, showed a fastball that sat at 68 mph. The spin pitch was 64-65 mph, needs a shape fix. The changeup is progressing at 57-62 mph. The delivery is is athletic, pulls glove side off his direction causing him to be stretched out at release. The foot is on top of the rubber to start the delivery, may want to balance it in front of the rubber. Pitches out of a ¾ arm slot. Positionally, threw 68 mph across the diamond from shortstop. The glove and footwork need to continue to improve, ,which will help aid his throwing after the catch. Ran a 4.59 down the line on his dig to first base. The bat has a tee exit velocity of 71 mph as the frame needs strength to it. Sets up with his feet wide and both his elbows up. Lining the knuckles up will help as well. The bat path is long to the ball and the bottom half is under control.
