Giancarlo Miro: RHP/OF, (2023) Malden Catholic, MA. 6-foot, 160-pound athletic frame. Above average during batting practice, Miro had a max exit velocity of 87 mph. Started in a balanced stance with a controlled load, then used a controlled stride. Has above average bat speed, uphill swing plane and good extension on his finish. During his round he produced loud contact and found multiple barrels. Aggressive approach. Athletic in the outfield, his best throw of the day was clocked at 80 mph; had a clean exchange, sure hands, and athletic footwork. Laterally, movements were athletic and fielded the ball out front. Had a ¾ slot and a loose arm action with consistent accuracy to the bag. Above average on the mound, used a loose arm action with a high ¾ arm angle while showing quick arm speed. Feel type pitcher and displayed an easy effort. I would like to see him stay online longer as he spins through the stride process at this point. Threw his fastball 79-80 mph; had sinking action and command in the zone with heavy movement. He shows sweeping action on his curveball (65-67). His changeup (73-75) showed in the zone command and plus action. His slider (69-70) showed deceiving action and around the zone command.

Defense: (OF) Sure hands, athletic footwork, clean exchange. Athletic. Movements laterally were athletic and he fields the ball out front.
Arm: 80 mph outfield velocity. Loose arm action, ¾ slot, consistent accuracy.
Pitching: Above average. Feel delivery, easy effort. High ¾ arm angle, quick arm speed, loose arm action. Athletic balance point, falling off shoulders, a falling off finish.
FB: T80. 79-80 mph. In the zone accuracy, sinking action, heavy movement.
CB: 65-67 mph. Sweeping action.
CH: 73-75 mph. In the zone control, plus action.
SL: 69-70 mph. Around the zone control, deceiving action.
