2/22/20

6-foot-5, 225-pound right-handed pitcher. Showed very well at the event, as this is the best we have seen him. The fastball sat 85-87 mph, downhill at times. The spin pitch is 69-71 mph, wrapped on the backside at times, needs more fastball hand speed to it. The changeup has always been solid, sitting 81-83 mph. The delivery is online with the feet and above 3/4 in slot. The lift is athletic, coil at the top and he drives the backside to the plate. He showed a small amount of head movement and recoil at release. The frame is big and durable. He definitely has some things to like, not too mention he is big and the arm works.

6/19/19

6-foot-4, 210-pound right-handed pitcher. The fastball sat 80- 82 mph, minimal action to the pitch. Occassional downhill leverage to the pitch. The spin pitch was big in shape, sitting 67-71 mph. The pitch needs added fastball hand speed to it. The changeup is 73 -76 mph and a plus pitch. The pitch showed action and fade to it. The delivery is online with the feet and above 3/4 in slot. The tracking of the front shoulder comes offline as he makes his way into foot strike. The glove has minimal pull to it. The arm works free and clean.

3/05/19

6-foot-3, 215-pound right-handed pitcher. Much improved since the last time we saw him. The frame is big and the arm swing is cleaning up. The delivery is online with the feet and above ¾ in slot. The tracking of the front shoulder can improve to improve extension. Small coil at the top of the lift as he makes his way into foot strike. Minimal head movement during the action. The fastball sat at 83-84 mph, downhill at times. The spin pitch is 70-72 mph with good depth. The changeup is a work in progress, sitting 70-73 mph with minimal fade to the pitch. Solid showing and his ability is trending up.

7/18/18

6-foot-3, 205 pound right-handed pitcher. A 2021 grad with a bright future in front of him. The fastball sat at 79 mph, arm side run to the pitch. The spin pitch sat at 67-68 mph, shape is correct. The changeup is 70 -72 mph, needs a spin fix to advance the pitch. The delivery is online with his feet, ¾ arm slot. The lift is athletic and repeated, tracking still needs to improve. The head moves at release of the ball, need to keep the eye still at release. Occasional dropping of the slot, need to make sure to maintain leverage on the ball as he releases the ball. Solid frame, thick and durable.

6/05/18

6-foot-2, 195-pound right-handed pitcher. Solid showing by this young man,. The delivery is online, tracking could improve as he gets the stride foot down. Small head lean as well. The arm is above ¾ and works very well. The lift is athletic and repeated, post foot is on top of rubber, needs to posted in front of slab. The glove side is moderately under control and there is some effort in the process. The fastball touched 80 mph, arm side run to the pitch. The spin pitch 65, needs more fastball hand speed to the pitch. The changeup is 69-70 mph, chance to be a good one as he matures. Very good prospect in the 2021 class.
