2/23/20

5-foot-10, 200-pound right-handed hitting third baseman and pitcher. The approach in the infield is aggressive and online. The foot work as he fields the ball needs to be smoothed out, he threw 76 mph across the diamond. The bat has a tee exit velocity of 93 mph. The setup is even, the front foot is open to start. The front foot closes down and gains ground to the ball as the swing is produced. The path is long and strong. He has done a nice job physically to get stronger. On the mound, the fastball sat 73-74 mph, minimal action to the fastball. The spin pitch is 65-66 mph, big in shape. The changeup is a developing pitch. The delivery is online with the feet and above 3/4 in slot. The lift is athletic, turns the top half at the top of the lift and then goes into leg drive. The motion is rotational as he spin off. Showed a good amount of recoil at release.

5-foot-10, 185-pound right-handed hitting catcher and corner infielder.  The skill set is improving as he showed better with the bat and his pop time. Behind the dish, threw 71 mph, with a pop time of 2.07. The feet can continue to improve as he needs to close the front foot down during the transfer. The receiving is soft and he secures the catch much better than in the past. The approach in the infield is athletic and the glove is soft, The feet remain active throughout the process. Threw 69 mph across the diamond.  The bat has a tee exit velocity of 88 mph. The setup is athletic to start, uses a leg kick to initiate the swing. The path is level to the ball, stays in the legs throughout the swing. Solid showing at the event.

5-foot-8, 170-pound right-handed hitting catcher and pitcher. On the mound, the fastball touched 70 mph and the breaking ball sat at 62 mph. The delivery is online with his feet, small bounce at the top of the lift. The tracking of the front shoulder needs to aligned with the catcher, and the post foot needs to be stable and in front of the rubber. Defensively, threw 66 mph from behind home plate as the footwork needs to continue to improve. The pop time is 2.23. Threw 66 mph across the diamond as an infielder. Showed a soft glove and needs to improve the footwork to and through the ball. The bat has a tee exit velocity of 72 mph. The swing has improved since we last saw him. The feet are set even and a high back elbow. The front foot is picked up and put down as the ball approaches. Uses a 1-hand finish after contact is made.

5-foot-8, 170-pound right-handed hitting catcher and pitcher. Defensively, threw 74 mph down to second base in the defensive portion of the workout. Pop time of 2.25 as the feet during the transfer need to improve and the arm strength needs to continue to develop. The receiving is improving, continuation of working on securing the catch needs to part of his routine. Ran a 4.81 down the line on his dig to first base. The bat has a tee exit velocity of 73 mph. Sets up with his feet even, the hands even height to start. The hands drop to initiate the swing, and the path is up and over. The path needs to be flattened through the zone for contact and plate coverage. Staying on the ball is also imperative to the swing and contact.  On the mound, the fastball touched 69 mph. The breaking ball is 60-61 and the changeup is 61-63 mph. The delivery is athletic, pitches out of a plus ¾ slot. The feet are online, needs to track the front shoulder towards the catcher until him stride foot lands. Threw strikes and competed.

5-foot-7, 155-pound right-handed hitting catcher and infielder. Behind the dish, showed an arm of 65 mph. The pop time is 2.3 as the transfer can be cleaned and improve as he ages. The receiving skills are solid for his age and need to improve as he matures. Ran a 4.35 thirty at the event. In the infield, threw 63 mph across the diamond. The glove is average and the approach needs to be cleaned up. The bat has a tee exit velocity of 72 mph. The swing is solid and appropriate to his age. Uses the barrel well and stays within the confines of his skill set at his age. Like his approach to hitting.
