(21.7 mph hand speed average). Started in a balanced athletic stance with a smooth load, then used a short stride. Has a loose uphill swing plane, quick bat speed and good extension on his finish. Was able to create a lot of loud contact and found multiple barrels. Gap to gap approach. Athletic in the infield, his best throw was recorded at 83 mph; has soft hands, a fluid exchange, and smooth athletic feet. Movements laterally were athletic. Had a high ¾ slot and a quick arm action.
Joey Mulvey: SS/2B, (2023) out of Bishop Feehan High School, MA. is a 5-foot-9, 145-pound middle infield prospect. At the plate, Mulvey had an exit velocity of 84 MPH. He hits out of a balanced, athletic stance with the hands relaxed off the back shoulder. The swing is on a flat plane and gets good extension on his finish. He showed a quick bat and balance throughout. In the infield, Mulvey was 77 MPH on his throws across the diamond.
