7/21/20

Silveria is a 6-foot-2, 205-pound, left-handed pitching prospect. He works out of a modified stretch allowing him to be direct to home plate. The direction of the top half needs to improve so he can tap into more extension to the plate. The tempo is solid and he repeats. He attacks hitters on both sides of the plate utilizing a higher arm slot. The fastball sits 74-76 MPH with some late run. The breaking ball has a big 12/6 shape and sat 61-63 MPH. He can add more fastball hand speed to the pitch to improve it.  He mixed in a nice change-up at 62-64 MPH with minimal fade.

The bat has a tee exit velocity of 86 mph. The setup is wide in base, front foot steps into the swing. The path is long and strong through contact. The ball comes off the bat. On the mound, the fastball sat 75-76 mph, minimal run but he showed plus command. The breaking ball is big in shape, sitting 63-64 mph. The slider is solid in shape, sitting 67-68 mph. The changeup is 71-72 mph with good fade. If he makes a velocity jump he could be a guy on the mound.
