PROCASE 2021

6-foot-9, 245-pound right-handed pitcher. The fastball sat 85-86 mph with downhill tilt at times. The spin pitch is big in shape, sitting at 69-71 mph. The changeup showed fade and sink, sitting at 75-77 mph. The delivery is solid in tempo, feet online and the slot is above 3/4 in height. The lift is athletic and repeated. The top half rotates early as he spins off the target taking his direction away from the plate. The leverage and height he has is undeniable, a few tweaks here and there he can make a jump in stuff.

Coming off the 2019 Futures Games, this 6-foot-8, 225 pound right-hander continued to show the heavy sink on his fastball at 81-8 3mph.  The velocity was down a bit to conserve for a showcase at Boston College the next day.  He was on the side of his slider at 68-70 mph, but was able to make a correction and get good action on a few.  The change-up was 73-75 mph and showed good depth.This is a big, long-armed prospect.  I think it’s just a matter of time before the armspeed and the leverage start to increase the velocity.  He’s a guy that may not be around long this winter.

FUTURE GAMES
6-foot-8, 225 -pound right-handed pitcher. The fastball touched 84 mph, downhill at times and minimal arm side action. The breaking ball is big in shape, sitting 69-70 mph. Showed a feel for dropping the pitch in for a strike. The changeup is a developing pitch. The delivery is online with the feet and above 3/4 in slot. The lift is solid in tempo and repeated. The glove has action and pull to it. The arm works free and clean. 

6-foot-8, 220-pound right-handed pitcher. The fastball sits 82-83 mph, minimal arm side action and downhill at times. The spin pitch is good in shape, the breaking ball sat 69-70 mph. The changeup is a developing pitch. The delivery has a bunch of moving parts as he is still growing into his frame. The lift is repeated, solid in tempo. The feet are online and the slot is above 3/4 in height. The tracking of the front shoulder has improved immensely in the last year. He is an arm to watch as the years progress as you cant deny the leverage. 

6-foot-8, 220-pound right-handed pitcher. Imposing leverage and a clean arm. The fastball sat 80-81 mph with downhill plane at times. The spin pitch is big in shape, needs additional fastball hand speed. The pitch sat 64-66 mph. The changeup has a good action to it, sitting 66-68 mph. The delivery is online, above ¾ in slot. The bottom half works clean, the tracking of the front shoulder can improve as he matures, this will add extension to his ball hand. Solid projection for him, should be an upper 80’s guy in the next year.  

6-foot-6, 180-pound right-handed pitcher. The fastball touched 78 mph, arm side run to the 2-seam fastball. The spin pitch is 66 mph, big in shape. The changeup is 69 mph, correct in shape. The delivery is online with his feet, the frame is long and big, 6-foot-6. The tracking of the front shoulder needs to be aligned with the plate. The arm works freely and quick out front. The lift is repeated, and the glove side is soft. The stuff is trending the correct way and you cannot ignore the projection and leverage of the arm. Solid prospect to see as he physically matures in the coming years.
