Liam Fitzmaurice: RHP/3B, (2025) Catholic Memorial, MA. 5-foot-10, 185-pound lean athletic frame. Projectable on the mound, showing developing arm speed he used a consistent loose arm action with a high ¾ arm angle. Feel type pitcher who shows some effort. In line shoulders and a consistent balance point. Lands closed with a falling off finish. Sat with his fastball at 76-77 mph; has control arm side around the zone and running sinking action. (Max spin 1757; Avg 1663). His curveball (65-66) had sweeping action and glove side around the zone command. (Max spin 1852; Avg 1802). He threw a straight changeup (74-75).
Fitmaurice is a strong right-handed hitting infield prospect. He hits out of an even stance with the hands set just off the back shoulder. The load is quiet, simple and allows him to get into a strong position. The bat takes an aggressive flat path to and through contact. In the infield, Fitmaurice showed good feet and hands. He got into a good position as he worked through the ground balls and finished through the play using a low, ¾ slot to get the ball across the diamond. He also had a vertical of 50.6 cm. On the mound, Fitmaurice worked primarily out of the stretch. His movements were minimal, allowing him to get balanced at the top and stay in line down the mound. The arm swing was a long, higher slot producing a fastball that sits (76-77 MPH) with some arm side run. He also mixed in a big, 12/6 breaking ball and showed a changeup with some sink.
