7/25/2017

6-foot,180-pound left-handed pitcher who threw the ball very well at the event. The fastball touched 83 mph with arm side run to it. The command of the fastball needs to improve as he matures. The spin pitch is slurvy and continues to improve, sits at 69-70 mph. The shape of the pitch is excellent. The changeup is a good pitch, the fade and sink is improving. The pitch sits at 74-75 mph. The delivery is online with his feet and there is effort in the delivery. The glove comes across the hitters face, leading to some deception. The tracking of the front shoulder is improved and he stays on time with his feet more often than not. Solid prospect on the mound, good follow.

7/26/16

6-foot left-hander who is progressing nicely on the mound. Fastball has some life to it, touched 78 mph on the day. The spin pitch is a short slider, touching 71 mph. The changeup has improved a great deal, had action and fade to it, touching 71-73 mph. Showed 1.35 on his lift in the stretch and 1.05 on a slide step. The delivery is repeated and simple. There is a slight coil at the top of the athletic lift, he pulls off glove side prior to landing. There is some effort in the delivery, which he could hold onto if his direction to foot strike improves. Competes and throws strikes.

3/9/16

Left-hander pitcher who pitches out of a ¾ slot and the ball comes out nicely. There is some effort in his delivery, but the arm works. Has slight head tilt and a small crouch as he starts. The fastball touched 78 mph and has good life to it. The spin pitch is a small slider and its improving, the velocity on it is 70 mph. The changeup fade and action improved as the session went on, sat at 69 mph. With innings and maturation this guy should be a good one, athletic and works at his craft.
