Stoddard is a 6-foot-1, 180 pound right-handed hitting corner infield prospect. He works primarily out of the stretch, allowing him to stay balanced throughout the delivery. He gets to a good balance point and separates well at the top. The arm-swing is quick, out of a side-arm slot, yielding a fastball at 71-73 MPH with depth. The breaking ball was 60-61 MPH that showed good spin but mostly drifted from that tough angle. The change-up was a good pitch at 67-68 MPH.
Stoddard has a chance to be a tough right-hander from that angle. He’s able to keep a consistent release point, allowing him to move the fastball around the zone. As he continues to develop and mature he should be a high velocity guy out of that slot.
