FUTURE GAMES

Matt Lee: RHP/OF, (2023) Taconic, MA. 6-foot, 180-pound athletic solid frame. Above average approach on the mound with a boat load of confidence on the mound. Showed  a short, loose arm action with a high ¾ arm angle while showing above average developing arm speed. Drop-and-drive up-tempo type pitcher and uses decent effort. Has a consistent balance point with falling off shoulders. Lands open with a falling off finish. Produced a fastball that came in at 86-88 mph; has control arm side around the zone and running action with heavy movement. Has sweeping slurvy action and glove side control on his 11/5 curveball (69-72). Threw his sharp slider (72-74) with late tight action and glove side control.  His outing was solid as he displays above average stuff with a good feel for his delivery. The aggressive approach puts him at an advantage.

Body: 6-foot, 180-pound athletic solid frame.

Pitching:  Above average and confident. Drop-and-drive up-tempo delivery, decent effort. high ¾ arm angle, above average developing arm speed, short loose arm action. Consistent balance point, falling off shoulders, lands open, a falling off finish.

FB: T88. 86-88 mph. Arm side around the zone accuracy, running action, heavy movement. 

CB: 69-72 mph. Glove side control, sweeping slurvy action, 11/5 shape. 

SL: 72-74 mph. Glove side control, late tight action, sharp movement.

Matt Lee: RHP/OF, (2023) Taconic, MA. 5-foot-11, 180-pound physical frame. Athletic at the plate, the left-handed hitter clocked an exit velocity of 85 mph. Bat speed was average, showed an uphill swing plane and good extension on his finish. He produced loud contact and found some barrels. Aggressive approach. Above average in the outfield, he used momentum and arm strength to record throws up to 92 mph. Showed  athletic footwork, a clean exchange, and sure hands. Movements laterally were athletic and he fields the ball out front. Used a quick arm action with a high ¾ slot while showing consistent accuracy to the bag. Above average on the mound, showed quick arm speed with a high ¾ arm angle and a compact arm action. Up-tempo type pitcher and uses some effort. Showed athletic balance point and falling off shoulders. Lands open with an athletic finish. Threw his fastball 85-86 mph; showed sinking action and command around the zone with heavy movement. His curveball (65-67) shows control around the zone and sweeping action. His slider (68-70) had tight action and around the zone command.  He is a big follow on the mound.

Body: 5-foot-11, 180-pound physical frame.

Hit: (LHH) Average bat speed. Good extension on his finish, uphill swing. Aggressive approach. 

Power: 85 mph exit velocity. 

Defense:  (OF) Sure hands, athletic footwork, clean exchange. Above average.  Laterally, movements were athletic and fielded the ball out front. 

Arm: 92 mph outfield velocity. Quick arm action, high ¾ slot, consistent accuracy. 

Pitching: Above average. Up-tempo delivery, some effort. High ¾ arm angle, quick arm speed, compact arm action. Athletic balance point, falling off shoulders, lands open, an athletic finish.

FB: T86. 85-86 mph. Around the zone accuracy, sinking action, heavy movement. 

CB: 65-67 mph. Around the zone command, sweeping action. 

SL: 68-70 mph. Around the zone command, tight action. 


11/04/20

5-foot-10, 180-pound, average athletic frame, showing good strength, body and movements work with minimal effort. A right-handed pitcher, working from a hybrid start. Quicker leg kick, gets to a good gather, staying over backside, higher hand set. The stride is slightly across the body, with pull down with front arm. The arm action is clean and fast on the backside, working from a higher slot. Worked three pitches at this event, attacks and is very aggressive. The fastball was up to 85 mph, bore action to it, gets on the hitter quickly. The breaking ball was clocked at 63-68 mph, with a bigger top to bottom 12/6 break. Mixed in a changeup as well. Worked a quick tempo, arm is really good.

Physical: 5-foot-10, 170 pounds; strong, athletic build. 7.55 runner in the 60.
Offensively: LHH. Balanced stance with feet even and a bend in the knees while hands start up high over back shoulder; gains some ground with a quick up and down stride while the hands just turn wrapping the barrel behind the head for a load. Aggressive lower half clearing the hips into a stiff front side with barrel is quick into the zone producing up to 16 G's rotational acceleration with an on plane efficiency of 76%.  Solid contact mainly ground ball, line drive using the whole field; peak Trackman exit velocity of 84 MPH.
Defensively: Uses prep step; Athletic footwork playing down hill through the ball. Soft glove had fielding the ball on the left side of the body with clean transfers; Moderate arm action to a high 3/4 release on strong, accurate throws with carry.  OF - 89 MPH.
Pitching: Gets knee up to the chest on leg lift with the hands going up high before striding out long and in line while the glove arm gets up before pulling through at foot strike and finishing to the glove side. Hand drops straight down out of the glove before working fast up to a clean 3/4 release. FB: Peak velo of 84 MPH, while sitting 82-84 MPH. Has plus Life (26 Bauer Unit), ride (max 25.6" vertical) and arm side run (max 19.6") through the zone . CB: 63-65 MPH. Hand speed slows up a bit and tends to back up; 11-5 shape with plus movement; Max vertical drop 16.4" and 10.7 horizontal break.
