Fried is a talented, athletic 6-foot-2, 190 pound corner infield prospect. The right-handed hitting Fried has a ton of potential at the plate. The swing is balanced, quick and powerful. He starts in a balanced stance with the hands set just off the back shoulder. The bat stays on plane a long time while in the hitting zone and he shows the ability to use the whole field. During the games, Fried put together great at bats against plus pitching. Defensively, Fried showed great feet, good hands and a strong arm. On the mound, Fried has a quick arm that produces a fastball with late, downward sink. The secondary stuff plays and he locates on both sides of the plate.
