3/17/19

5-foot-10, 180-pound right-handed hitting infielder.  Threw 78 mph across the infield.  The feet are soft and active. Gets into a good fielding position with both the feet and the glove.  Transitions well through the ball into a good throwing position.  The arm works from a short ¾ arm slot and finishes through the throw. At the plate, the tee exit velocity was 82 mph.  The stance begins slightly open and the hands move into a good launch position.  During the load the weight stays over the midline, which leads to him getting a little on the front side during the swing.  The bat path is level and gets extended through the ball during contact.  This is a fundamentally sound infielder.  I’m looking forward to seeing him continue to develop.

5-foot-10, 170-pound right-handed hitting infielder and pitcher. On the mound, the fastball touched 80 mph. The spin pitch touched 67 mph, needs a bit more fastball hand speed to it. The changeup is developing, sat at 74 mph. The delivery is online with his feet, slot is ¾ and works clean. The tracking is done properly and he stays with his arm the majority of the time. The feet need to be shoulder width in the stretch, too close as he comes set. Threw 73 mph during the infield. The glove is solid, soft hands. Improving the footwork to the ball will maximize the throwing. The bat has a tee exit velocity of 76 mph. Stance is even with his feet, picks up and puts down the front foot as the ball approaches the hitting zone. The path is simple, flat to contact, clean swing.  Solid showing.
