Line drive approach. Solid in the infield, his best throw was registered at 70 mph; had a clean exchange, sure hands, and consistent footwork. Schena is a 5-foot-11, 190 pound right-handed hitting infield prospect. He hits out of a wide, slightly open stance, with the hands set just off the back shoulder. He uses a toe tap to get the swing started. The hands push back into a good position before heading into the hitting zone on a flat path. His batting practice round showed the ability to spray the ball gap to gap and produced an exit velocity of 80 MPH.

Defensively, Schena was 78 MPH on his throws across the diamond. His footwork is good, as he worked to break down behind the ground ball. The glove is relaxed out front and soft transitioning through the play. He creates a good line with his target and uses a long, lower arm-slot to work the ball across the diamond. He finishes through the play and continues along that same good line.
