Future Games

6-foot-2, 170-pound left-handed outfielder. He is a very skilled player with an advanced skill set. He ran a 7.05 sixty at the event. The approach in the outfield is solid and he can play all 3 spots. He gets very good jumps and is aggressive to the ball. He threw 89 mph from the outfield to the plate during the defensive workout. The bat has an exit velocity of 100 mph. The setup is wide in base and he uses a pick up and put down of the front foot as the ball approaches the hitting zone. The path is slightly uphill through contact as the hands are free and clean. He should be a middle of the order type guy at the next level.

6-foot-2, 165-pound, longer lean, athletic frame Showing plus strength in his hands, a well proportioned athlete. A left-handed hitter, one of the more polished hitters in the class, showing power to all fields. At the plate, the feet are even, a wider base, hands held at the shoulders, with small pre-pitch movement. The swing is level to up, gets through it, stays behind the baseball, creates a ton of lift and backspin to the baseball. Took a solid round of batting practice, launching baseballs all over, connected on one during the game. The exit velocity was clocked at 96 mph, ran a 6.97. Potential pro prospect.

New England Procase

6-foot-1, 165-pound, longer, lean athletic frame, with plenty of room for added weight. A left-handed hitting outfielder who swung the bat very well at this event. At the plate, even feet, wider setup, loaded hands at the shoulders. The swing is level to up, line drive with lift at times,  approach to all fields, hard solid contact during batting practice. Can really handle and maneuver the bat. The tee exit velocity was clocked at 87 mph and ran a 7.48 sixty-yard dash. Defensively, approach is under control, builds momentum to and through release. The arm action is long and clean on the backside, working from a higher slot. Clocked at 84 mph, has more in there with added strength. Look for him to hit at the next level, love the approach.

7/16/19

6-foot-1, 165-pound left-handed hitting outfielder and right-handed pitcher. Ran a 7.14 sixty at the event. The frame is long and lean, should fill out nicely. Very athletic actions throughout the event. The approach in the outfield is athletic and online. Threw 80 mph from right field to the plate. The bat has a chance to be special, tee exit velocity of 94 mph. The setup is wide in base, bottom half is under control throughout the swing. The path is long to contact, clean hand path. Should develop nicely in the next two years. High level follow. On the mound, the fastball sat 80-81 mph. The spin pitch is 67-69 mph, wide in shape, from side to side. The changeup is a developing pitch. The delivery is online with the feet and 3/4 in slot. The tracking needs to get linear as he spins through the delivery. You can see the ball on the backside of the arm path, small pause in the path. The glove comes across the hitters face.
