6-foot-5, 245-pound big, physical right-hander. Pitches from a ¾ slot with a fast arm. Repeats his delivery and uses his body appropriately in the delivery. Touched 88 with good run with sink to the ball, which could easily see him getting a ton of ground balls. Spun a nice frisbee style slider at 77 mph and a nice changeup at 76. Needs to go a ¼ kick in the stretch at the next level but he pounded the zone throughout his bullpen. Used both sides of the plate and showed a good feel for his body. Should garner some pro attention.
Thomas is a big , physical right-hander who loves to pitch. He is aggressive in his approach and uses his height as an advantage. His fastball has leverage and life, in the upper 80's. He uses both sides of the plate, and shows a feel for his secondary stuff. He has a ton of potential.
