Worked out as a first baseman and then threw 2 innings for us at the Futures. As a first baseman, showed good feel around the bag, and is a big target. Threw 79 from first to third and had carry to his throws. The foot speed is 7.72. The bat is left-handed and works cleanly. The hands work and the setup is even. Has lift in his swing but shows the ability to maneuver the bat head. Tee exit velocity of 90. On the mound, he throws from a simple ¾ slot and a nice smooth delivery. The arm works well and he has a feel for all his pitches. Pitched 82-84 with sink and action to the fastball. Breaking ball was sharp and small at 75. An out pitch in a year. The changeup works, the spin is correct and was 77-78. I like him on the bump as his body and thick and durable. The feel for pitching is plus as well.

6-foot-1, 200-pound strong, athletic build. On the mound has slow tempo delivery with minimal effort and good direction at foot strike. Shows an easy arm swing from over top with his fastball sitting 78-81 mph with occasional arm-side run. His breaking ball with gradual 11/5 break sat 67-69 mph. Showcased a changeup with good arm speed at 69-71 mph with arm-side run. Over at first base he shows good footwork around the bag. Clean exchange with 70 mph arm strength across the diamond. Left-handed hitter that is balanced and uses a good load. Shows flat path that stay in the hitting zone with some ease to it and 82 mph exit velocity. Ran 7.95-60.
