MD Preseason All State
Athletic thin frame at 6-foot, 150-pounds. Athletic setup from the left side with a pronounced leg kick. Stance starts and finishes on-line, rhythm in the hands and load, and barrel stayed on the ball through extension. Bat path was level with an uphill finish. Showed the ability to use all fields and posted a 78 mph exit velocity. Feet were active on approach in the infield. Solid glove presentation out front, and a quick clean exchange. Average arm action throwing from a three-quarter slot at 74 mph. Home-to-first time was 4.36. Right handed pitcher whose delivery showed some pace and started with a side step rocker to an average balance point with the lower half coiled closed. Hips and shoulders are elevated moving down the mound and lands on line at foot strikes. Arm action is long and unorthodox as he hides the ball behind his back hip on hand break. Throws with some effort out of a three-quarter arm slot and an arm recoil on finish. Fastball was at 71-73 mph and topped at 74 mph. Curveball had 11/5 shape at 59-61 mph and showed some depth. Changeup had arm side face and worked downhill at 62-64 mph.
