Small leg lift on load. Lands in line on foot strike. Gets good separation with that hands and ends up in a strong hitting position. Head remains quiet through contact while the barrel stays through the zone with a high uphill finish with the hands. In the infield Cody uses an effective prep hop and is active on contact. He does a great job getting left foot down late on balls that take him side to side. Hands stay in rhythm with the feet post catch to throw. From windup gets over the rubber, elevates hips, and leads with the backside. Has a slight arm recoil on release. Fastball is up to 78. Breaking ball has more of a 2-8 slurve look that changes a little more side to side. Has a great feel for the changeup with good arm speed.
