Maryland Preseason All-State Session II
Body: 5’11’’, 176 pounds. Strong, athletic frame with recent strength added.
Hit: RHH. Balanced, narrow setup with a slight bend in the knees as the barrel started on the shoulder; utilized a leg lift stride to initiate tight turns through a flat path into the hitting zone; good posture overall in the swing with slight lift after contact; recorded a 71% fly ball rate to the middle/LCF side of the field. Hit into a stiff front side generating a peak batted ball distance of 292 feet via Trackman Baseball. More intent to be had in the near future, the swing was very repeatable at the plate.
Power: 86 mph exit velocity during BP per TrackMan. Doubles power at the moment with feel for the bat head.
Arm: RH. INF - 83 mph. Violent, high intent, high ¾ slot.
Defense: Down chest angles early in the routes with a soft glove hand at the fielding window; gained momentum while fielding creating downhill actions towards the target, adequate pace and some range to the glove hand side on occasion.
Run: 8.03 60-yard time.
Delivery: Started wide off the middle of the rubber; even, medium leg lift up towards the chest with control on the drive outward; athletic delivery with consistent, gradually building pace throughout. Landed in a balanced position out over the toes, everything worked together on the bump.
Arm Action: RH. High ¾ slot with length and leverage on the bump.
FB: T84 mph, 82-84 mph. Average spin rate of 2084 rpm. Saw legitimate carry towards the plate (20 inches of IVB on average). Featured a 38% zone rate and worked up to 6.38 feet of extension as well.
CB: 71-74 mph. Average spin rate of 1827 rpm. Short action with developing shape at the moment.
CH: 76-77 mph. Killed spin with effective fade to the arm side (13.1 inches of HM).

Gets good extension through contact. Showed some bat speed and maintains balance throughout the swing with a long one-handed finish. Middle to pull-side approach.
Power: 83 mph exit velocity per TrackMan during BP. Shows strength in the swing with power to the pull-side alley.
Arm: RH. INF - 80 mph. Throws with shorter arm action from a high three-quarter slot and showed the ability to drop lower with accuracy depending on the type of play.
Defense: Plays low to the ground with active feet. Gets around the ball and works through it to the target. Fields the ball out in front from a strong, athletic base. Lateral range present with smooth, advanced actions on the double play feed and slow roller.
Run: 8.03 60-yard time.
Delivery: Controlled side-step wind-up and high leg kick into a taller, really tight compact balance position. Long, quick, kick-out stride down the mound with clean hand separation. Strong lower half drive off the rubber and gets over front side well with great extension out front through release. Lands in-line to the plate with a strong, athletic follow through and finish that has a tendency to end slightly upright at times.
Arm Action: RH. Creates quick arm speed through release and throws with long, whippy arm action from a mid three-quarter slot with intent.

Showed a nice middle of the field line drive approach with occasional pop. Recorded a 74 mph exit velocity. Moves well on the infield and showed quick, fundamental footwork. Works through the ball and funnels it the chest. Taps glove in exchange. Throws with shorter arm action in the infield from a low three-quarter slot at 76 mph. Ran a 7.97 60-yard time. Up-tempo side-step wind-up and leg kick into a slightly crouched, compact balance point. Strong lower half drive, landing slightly closed to the plate with an athletic finish. Gets over front side well with nice extension. Throws with long, loose arm action from a low to mid three-quarter slot with regular effort. Creates very quick arm speed through release. Throws downhill and kept the ball low. Pounded the zone with fastball and breaking ball. Fastball was 75-79 mph and touched 80 mph. Breaking ball was 65-67 mph with tight 11/5 shape and changeup sat 67-69 mph with late dive.
