Maryland Preseason All-State Session I

Body: 6’0’’, 170 pounds. Athletic, twitchy actions with a feel for the movements.
Hit: RHH. Starts from a wide, balanced stance with a low hand start below the shoulder; slight, fluid move upwards to launch position coupled with a controlled leg lift stride to initiate his swing. Good connection in the swing (75% on-plane efficiency per Blast Motion) while accruing an impressive 57% hard hit rate during his round of batting practice.
Power: 95 mph exit velocity during BP per TrackMan. Notched an average of 14.18 G’s of rotational acceleration (power ceiling) with consistent gap to gap pop in the barrel at the moment (307 foot peak batted ball distance).
Arm: RH. INF - 87 mph. High, three-quarter power slot with length in the takeaway, good carry across the diamond.
Defense: Adequate footwork arriving on time with a soft glove hand that played inside and outside the body depending on the hop. Funneled into the belt line with average pace during defensive evaluations. Finesse present to his game in all phases (low-intent, but smooth). Handled the play on the run with ability to get rid in a hurry if need be.
Run: 6.76 60-yard time.

Delivery: Rhythmic actions with a side rocker into a medium leg lift with a slight gather pause at the top, moved down the mound quickly and explosively with good backside leg-drive and reach out towards the plate. Solid landing spot in-line to the target with ability to repeat, adequate pace throughout the delivery.
Arm Action: RH. High ¾ slot with athleticism in the arm circle, no restrictions.
FB: T84 mph, 82-84 mph. Average spin rate of 2110 rpm. Some life out of the hand exploding into the zone at an 83% strike rate; registered an average IVB of 20.3 inches, which points to riding life above the letters and great success blowing the fastball by hitters.
CH: 75-77 mph. Killed spin effectively (1205 rpm average) and saw an average of 9 inches of HM of fade to the arm side.
SL: 70-71 mph. Average spin rate of 1926 rpm. Held around 10+ inches of movement across the plate with consistent feel on release points.
