Weddell

Weddell is an athletic mid-infielder with a smooth, compact lefty stroke. He has a simple setup and stride and gets to an adequate hitting position. He has solid movements with his hips and legs which allow his barrel to work long through the zone. He gets some extension after contact and displayed a line drive approach. In the field, he has active feet and average hands. He funnels the ball to his chest and is able to get the ball out of his glove quickly. His throws were accurate and displayed an ability to play on the run.

6.1.16 - Solid frame with room to grow at 5-foot-10, 150-pounds. Ran a 7.60 60-yard dash. Hits from a athletic, square set up. Shows some extension through contact. Gets some lower half involvement. Gets on front foot at time out of balance through swing but shows overall balance in swing. Exit velo of 80 mph. Active feet from the middle. Clean hands and exchange. Quick, compact arm action throwing from a high ¾ arm slot. Works thru the ball and throws across the diamond had some carry at 79 mph.

2.21.16 - Solid frame with room to grow at 5-foot-9, 130-pounds. Ran a 7.98 60-yard dash. Hits from a square tall setup.  Short load. Short bat path with some extension. Gets uphill at times. Exit velocity of 75 mph. Active feet from the infield. Nice actions from the infield. Quick hands and exchange to a short arm action.  Has an infield velocity of 72 mph.
