Rogers has committed to Tennessee but as a student. 


6.30.15 - Long athletic frame at 6-foot-2 190-pounds.  Athletic set up at the plate with short and simple stride/load. Level bat path with some bat speed.  Line drive type hitter with some pull side power potential.  Good balance in swing and could increase half involvement. Fluid footwork at third base with soft hands and a clean exchange.  Loose arm action from a ¾ arm angle across the diamond with carry on them at 81 mph.  Ran a 4.78 home to first and had an exit velocity of 91 mph.

6.24.15 - Long, lanky, athletic frame at 6-foot-2 190-pounds.  Has a loose arm action from a high ¾ arm slot.  Makes consistent throws from the outfield with some life on the throws at 87 mph from the outfield and 83 across the infield.  Has a clean exchange and from the infield gets the ball a little deep in his position.  Hits from a balanced set up and slightly closed.  Shows bats speed with a short bat path.  Would like to see a little more extension through contact but already shows pop in his gap-to-gap style of hitting with a 91 mph exit velocity. Ran a 7.45 60 yard dash.  An intriguing prospect in the 2016 class that shows some tools to build upon and arm speed.
