Maryland Unsigned Senior Games
Body: 6’2’’, 215 pounds. Solid body type.
Hit: RHH. Hits from a tall, relaxed, square stance at the plate. Creates hand separation with a minimal load and average stride length. Stays behind the ball with extension through contact and a strong two-handed finish. Showed strong lower half involvement with a middle to pull-side approach.
Power: 91 mph exit velocity during BP per TrackMan. Power present to the middle and pull-side.
Arm: RH. INF - 69 mph. Throws with short arm action from a high three-quarter slot.
Defense: Fields the ball out in front with fundamental footwork and funnels to the chest. Exchanges and footwork on double play feeds were clean and consistent.
Run: 7.99 60-yard time.
Delivery: Controlled side-step wind-up and high leg kick to a tall, compact balance position. Fluid kick-out stride down the mound landing in-line with home plate. Gets over the front side well with some extension. Complete follow through and finish.
Arm Action: RH. Throws with a full arm-circle from a high three-quarter slot.
FB: T70 mph, 68-70 mph. Average spin rate of 1637 rpm per TrackMan.
CB: 58-59 mph. Showed more 12/6 shape with an average spin rate of 1659 rpm per TrackMan.
CH: 64-67 mph.
VA/DC Unsigned Senior Games
Worch is 6-2 with a strong frame. He hits from the right side from a tall relaxed slightly open stance, strides on line, smooth load back to a slight wrap. Hips rotate completely with some violence and he maintains some lower half balance. Hands stay inside, short to the ball, slightly uphill swing path, some strength at contact and extension through the ball, showed a good approach working primarily gap to gap with some natural loft and power in the alleys, exit velocity was 88. In the infield, gets behind the ball and fields with average hands, clean exchange, throws from a high three-quarters arm slot, position velocity was 73. On the mound, he throws from a high three-quarters arm slot, short free arm action and normal effort to his delivery. Shoulders are uphill and closed, lands slightly closed with an athletic finish. Fastball was 70-74, with some sink to it. Curveball had some armspeed and was 61-64 with gradual 11/5 break to it. Change-up had good armspeed and was 64-65 with fade.
Maryland Western Trials
Body: 6’2’’, 215 pounds. Strong, solid frame.
Hit: RHH. Hits from a square stance at the plate with weight slightly loaded on back side. Minimal load and short stride with hand separation. Stays behind the ball well with a longer, uphill swing path. Gets good extension through contact with a strong two-handed finish. Worked mostly middle to the pull side during BP.
Power: 90 mph exit velocity during BP per TrackMan. Showed some power to the pull side with more projected.
Arm: RH. INF - 74 mph. Throws with shorter arm action from a high three-quarter slot.
Defense: Fields the ball in the middle of his body with a quick funnel to the chest. Clean exchanges to second base on double play feeds with fundamental footwork.
Run: 7.88 60-yard time.
Delivery: Side-step wind-up and leg kick to a tall, compact balance position. Smooth stride down the mound with uphill shoulder tilt. Gets downhill through release landing in-line to the plate with a full finish over the front side.
Arm Action: RH. Throws with short arm action from a high three-quarter slot with easy effort.
FB: T72 mph, 70-71 mph. Average spin rate of 1626 rpm.
CH: 65-69 mph.
