Maryland Preseason All-State Session I

Body: 5’10’’, 165 pounds. Lengthy, athletic frame with standout feel for his body. 
Hit: LHH. Crouched, even stance with the hands showing controlled rhythm around the shoulder to start; utilized a short lift and replace stride to initiate the bat head through a flat path in the hitting zone. Worked the middle of the field primarily with a quick, tight turn at the plate; accrued a standout 47% line drive rate during his round with noticeable bat to ball skills (83% on-plane efficiency via Blast Motion). Room for more juice as he continues holding additional strength. 
Power: 86 mph exit velocity during BP per TrackMan. Doubles power at the moment with feel for XBH on pitches over the plate. 
Arm: RH. INF - 76 mph. Quick, high three-quarter slot with a fast trigger, got it in and out of the throwing slot with no issues.
Defense: Above-average defender knowing the pace he wants to play at on each rep, beat the ball to the spot with advanced posture (low to the ground). A strong and trusted glove hand worked out in front with effortless funnels inward. Accurate arm strength across on the run, from the backhand side, and to his left. Might be relegated to a 2B position at the moment, in a role which he could be an impact defender.
Run: 7.48 60-yard time.

5-foot-7, 145-pound compact frame and plenty of athleticism. Athletic setup at the plate, simple toe tap to stride, and lands on line. Hands make short load back, quick hands to the zone, and level path to the swing. Line drive approach staying gap to gap and an exit velocity of 77 mph. Defensively the feet work, lateral range, soft hands, and solid posture and glove presentation. Short arm action and has ability to throw from multiple slots with accuracy. Positional velocity is 66 mph. Ran a 6.90 60.

Rodriguez has an athletic frame at 5-foot-7, 145-pounds. Hits from the left side with a slight crouch in a square stance. Loads into the back leg while taking a small stride forward and lands slightly closed. Hands load back to separation, barrel gets on plane early, and a level path with an uphill finish. Barrel stayed on through contact and showed some consistency up the middle of the field with a line drive approach. Exit velocity was 74 mph. Active feet on approach, solid glove presentation, and soft hands to catch. Exchange was quick and displayed the ability to throw from multiple arm slots. Infield velocity was 66 mph. 60 time was 7.53.

2019 Diamondskills All-American Camp 1/19/2019

5-foot-7 compact athletic frame. Hits from the left side with a slightly crouched stance. Starts on line, strides to the toe before the heal, and lands slightly closed. Hands load in rhythm and get back on time. Bat path is flat showing a line drive approach and displayed the ability to use the entire field. Lower half finishes completely and showed balance throughout the swing. Exit velocity was 70 mph. On defense the feet worked well on approach moving through the ball cutting distance on plays. Played low and behind the ball with soft hands. Exchange was clean and displayed ability to throw from multiple arm slots and make plays on the move. Infield velocity was 62 mph. Ran the 60 in 7.40.
