Maryland Top Prospect Games West

Body: 6’0”, 195 pounds. Strong, thick frame with noticeable physicality in the box.
Hit: LHH. Wide, slightly open stance as the hands wiggled at head-height for rhythm. Utilized a short lift and replace stride with a methodical weight shift into the front side at impact, yielding hard connected impact to the pull-side during batting practice. Timing hitter with feel for the top hand in the swing, peppering pitches up above the belt for extra-bases. Could go backside when pitched there, but favored RCF gap mostly. Twitchy hand speed (26+ mph per Blast Motion) points towards more power potential on the way.
Power: 86 mph exit velocity during BP per TrackMan. Doubles power to pull, success when pitched up in the zone for hard contact.
Arm: RH. INF - 74 mph. Short on the backside and long on the front getting extended after release.
Defense: Chopped the feet before arriving on time at the ball with average pace. Feel around the bag with slight bend in the knees, the glove hand corralled off the left side and funneled inward before releasing across the diamond.
Run: 8.18 60-yard time.

Maryland Preseason All-State Session I

Body: 6’0’’, 195 pounds. Compact, strong frame with durability throughout a thick lower half.
Hit: LHH. Wide, even stance with the barrel bouncing flat on the shoulder to start. Utilized a quick and hitchy lift and replace stride in order to initiate the bat head through a flat path into the hitting zone. Slightly unique swing at the plate but got the job done using a short A to B approach and feel for the top hand. Recorded an impressive zero ground balls during his round (33% line drive rate) with a solid 23.8 mph average hand speed at the plate (via Trackman Baseball). Lived through the middle of the field and could turn on the inner half with a quick trigger if pitched there.
Power: 80 mph exit velocity during BP per TrackMan. Developing doubles power at the moment, mostly lives line to line with adjustability throughout.
Arm: RH. INF - 73 mph. Short takeaway and quick / lengthy on the way through a high ¾ slot.
Defense: Average footwork setting up from a low, bent position early with the glove presented out in front of the toes. Funneled inward and got in line towards the target with the hips/shoulders. Adequate feel around the bag at first.
Run: 8.45 60-yard time.
