Nicholas Swain: RHP/1B, (2023) South Portland, ME. 6-foot-3, 175-pound lean athletic frame. Capable and projectable on the mound, using a consistent loose arm action he showed developing arm speed from a high ¾ arm angle. Feel type pitcher who uses some effort. Has a consistent balance point with in line shoulders. Lands closed with a balanced finish. Produced a fastball that came in at 75-78 mph; shows command arm side around the zone and running action. His curveball (65-67) showed glove side around the zone command and sweeping action.

2/17/18

5-foot-6, 110 pound right-handed hitting catcher and outfielder. Ran a 7.8 sixty at the event. The throwing from the outfield was 57 mph as he approached with caution and was under control. The catching velocity is 54 mph as getting physically stronger and improving footwork is imperative. Pop time of 2.26 The receiving is a work in progress as he needs to continue to work on his catching. The bat has a tee exit velocity of 66 mph. Starts with his front foot open, closes it down as the ball approaches. The path is flat and long to contact. Uses a 1-handed finish after contact. Strength in the body frame will help him develop.
