8/18/20

5-foot-7, 165-pound right-handed hitting infielder and right-handed pitcher. He ran a 6.84 sixty at the event. The approach in the infield is appropriate and athletic, as the feet move through the fielding of the baseball. The arm is short in path and he gets rid of it well, throwing 81 mph across the diamond. The bat has an exit velocity of 86 mph. The setup is even in base and the front foot gains ground as the ball approaches the hitting zone. The path is long and strong through contact with the baseball. The hands work well with the bat. On the mound, the fastball sat 80-82 mph and he flashed a slider at 64-65 mph. The changeup is still developing. The delivery is online with the feet and the slot is above 3/4 in height. The lifting of the leg is methodical in tempo and repeated. The arm is short on the backside and he showed a hard pull down of the front side as he makes his way into foot strike.

The 5-foot-7, 149 pound right-handed hitting infielder had a tee exit velocity of 65 mph.  The initial set up begins out of a wide and slightly base.  The hands are set low to the chest and there is a nice pre pitch movement.  As he begins to load, the hands push back slightly and stay below the shoulders.  The weight does get over the back leg into a strong position.  The bat head gets long through the zone and the extension gets cut off.  I think with a load adjustment with the hands the path can improve along with the bat speed.

Defensively, the feet are active pre pitch and the glove is in a good starting position.  As he moves toward the ground ball, he does a good job of getting outside the ball and breaking down.  The feet are in a good fielding position and the hands are soft.  He gets through the ball nicely and was 75 mph across the diamond.  He also showed off his foot-speed, running an event best 7.1 sixty.
