Blake Bard: 1B/RHP, (2021) Walled Lake Northern, MI. 6-foot-2, 200-pound athletic frame. Raw at the plate, the right-handed hitter's 87 mph exit velocity ranks him 2nd at the event. Starts in a balanced stance with a tight load, then uses a short stride. Bat speed is average, shows a flat swing plane and high finish. Through his round he found a few barrels with some loud contact. Up the middle approach. Athletic in the infield, his position velocity was registered at 82 mph; had sure hands, a natural quick exchange, and consistent footwork. From the outfield, he displayed a position velocity of 82 mph; had a lengthy exchange, athletic footwork, and sure hands. Movements laterally were average and he fields the ball to the side. Showed a quick arm action and a high ¾ slot with consistent accuracy to the bag. Solid on the mound, used a consistent arm action and a ¾ arm angle while showing some arm speed. Tilt-and-topple type pitcher and shows some effort. Showed tall balance point with even shoulders. Lands square with an athletic finish. Sat with his fastball at 78-79 mph and topped out at 80 mph; throws a straight fastball with gradual action and consistent command. His straight curveball (68-70) has sinking action and low in the zone command.
