6/24/14
6-foot-1, 205 pound physically strong prospect. Big frame creates an excellent visual for pitchers to throw to. Receives and sticks pitches well in the strike-zone. Little long on the transfers to second base with a pop time of 2.09-2.22. Ran a 4.18 home to 1st.  Sound load and stride at the plate with pull power in a strong bat. Good bat speed at 92 mph.
6/17/14
6-foot-1, 205 pound big athletic build prospect. Great frame for pitchers to throw to behind the plate. Receives and blocks baseball well. Quick transfers allow for a pop time of 2.12-2.27. Ran a 4.57 home to 1st. With strength in his bat the ball jumps off his bat. Bat speed registered at 94 mph.

7/2/13 Timko has gotten bigger and stronger.  Impressive bat speed with pop.  Balls jumped to the gaps with ease.  Good hitter.  Nose for the ball behind plate.  Wasn’t his best throwing day behind the plate but still performed well.  Soft hands and good receiver.  2.17 was best pop time.  Have seen it better. High follow.

3/2/13 The 6-foot, 180-pound Timko continues to show improvement.  Timko, who is only a freshmanhas a chance to be an elite catcher. He shows an advanced skill set at the plate.  His swing is short and compact. He is also well-balanced at the plate.  His hands work quickly.  Shows a simple,no-load approach. His pop time is generally in the 2.1 range, but his best pop time on this day was 2.01, a personal record for him. Behind the plate he blocks the ball extremely well and his footwork is solid.  A 7.21 runner already in the 60, Timko shows good athleticism. Got down the line in 4.66.

2/9/13 Timko is once again another talented player to attend Brother Rice.  Only a freshman Timko stands at 6-foot, 180-pounds. He, too, is well put together and has a strong lower half. His arm is strong and provides good carry through the bag, but his pop times are slowed by a longer transfer.  Once he cleans up his transfer his pop time will lower considerably.  Offensively, Timko is advanced for a freshman.  He keeps his approach simple and compact.  His hands fly to the baseball with fast bat speed and generates good pop.  With his performance, Timko has emerged as one of the top catchers in the Class of 2016 in Michigan and one to follow over the next four years.
