Remington Sparre: RHP/OF, (2024) Oakland christian, MI. 6-foot-2, 195-pound. Confident in the box, Sparre clocked an exit velocity of 82 mph. (67.0 mph bat speed average). (20.1 mph hand speed average). Started in a balanced stance with a choppy load, then used a toe tap quick stride. Bat speed is average, exhibits an an inside-out swing plane and low finish. Through the round he found a few barrels. Gap to gap approach. Solid while in the infield, made throws up to 84 mph; has consistent feet, a twitchy exchange, and soft hands. Fields the ball to the side. Clocked a 60 time of 7.9 at the event. Smooth on the mound, using a compact arm action he showed good arm speed from an over-the-top arm angle. Tilt-and-topple up-tempo type pitcher who uses some effort. Uphill shoulders with an athletic balance point. Lands open with an athletic finish. Produced a fastball that came in at 76-78 mph and topped out at 82 mph; shows slight running action and control in the zone feel with tight movement. (Max spin 2371; Avg 2202). Had slurvey action and feel in the zone control on his 11/5 curveball (64-66). (Max spin 2088; Avg 1661). Threw his tight changeup (70-71) with fading action and feel in the zone command.
