10/24/16- 6-foot-3, 210-pound right-handed pitcher. Smith has a strong, durable build at 6-foot-3, 210 pounds. He uses a compact arm action with extension out front and commands his fastball with late, varying action. It sits 85-87. His curveball has tight rotation and depth with 11/5 shape. Changeup showed fade in bottom of zone. Easy actions and pumped strikes with 3 pitches. He is currently ranked No. 24 in Minnesota, but will be making a significant jump in the updated rankings.
5/3/16- 6-foot-2, 200-pound right-handed pitcher. Durable frame with stronger lower half. Controlled delivery, good direction to plate, clean arm action, and upright finish. Fastball flashed running action at 80-82 mph. Solid breaking ball with 11/7 shape and sharp break with depth. Late run and sink on changeup.
