Fastball flattens out from backside collapse. 2/8 shaped breaking ball. Sporadic command of the zone. Slightly open tall stance at the plate, short stride triggers compact slightly uphill barrel path, all fields approach. Avg. contact during round of BP. Posted an 80 mph exit velocity off a tee. Controlled actions in the outfield, long release to a mid ¾ arm slot, clean transfers. Went 1-2 with a single during game action.
6/19/18- 5-foot-11, 180-pound left-handed hitting 2-way player. On mound; rocker step into short balance point, rushes through motion, lands on stiff front leg, collapses down mound, low ¾ arm slot. Fastball was 73-74 mph with running action to plate. Throws a 2/8 breaking ball and changeup was straight. 7.58 runner. Square stance, flat swing plane, some stiffness on follow through, pull approach, spray contact, 73 mph exit velocity. Sure hands, avg. actions, accurate arm, solid around bag, 71 mph arm strength across infield.
