At the plate, balanced stance, smooth shift to back side, toe tap to stride, level path, gap to gap line drives.  On the infield, high three quarters arms action, soft hands, clean exchange, momentum with feet to throw after the catch, mostly accurate throws, 73 mph positional velocity. At the plate, starts in a wide stance, loads into back side, reverse toe tap, level path through he zone, gap to gap contact during batting practice.  On the infield, 69 mph positional velocity, high three quarters release, momentum with feet after catch, fluid footwork to the ball, clean exchange, mostly accurate throws. On the mound, Ruiz has an over the top arm slot, in line stride, controlled tempo, athletic finish, fastball at 66-68 mph, throws change up with near fastball arm speed, 63-64 mph, some with slight sink.
