11/4/17 - Matthews is a strong 5-foot-9 165-pound left-handed hitting outfielder in Missouri’s 2019 class.  He ran a 7.45 60 and a 4.43 home to first.  He has an 85 mph positional velcoity.  At the plate, simple and smooth swing, no wasted movement with quick and loose hands, level path, solid consistent line drives gap to gap during hitting evaluations.  In the outfield, 79 mph positional velocity, fluid footwork, get momentum after the catch, clean glove to hand exchange, over the top release, accurate throws, some with carry.
