6/9/15 - Straws is a 5-foot-11 170-pound left-handed hitting OF. Straws ran a 6.75 60, one of the event’s best, and had an exit velo of 80 mph.  At the plate, athletic stance, loads into back leg with toe touch, level path to extension, stays inside ball, gap-to-gap approach.  Defensively, quick feet, gets behind ball, plays through catch, over-the-top release, fluid exchange, 82 mph positional velo, accurate throws.

2/16/15 - Straws is a left-hand hitting outfielder that attends Liberty HS in Liberty, MO. Athletic 5-foot-11, 170-pound frame. Class of 2016. Balanced set-up at the plate, knee-to-knee reverse toe tap, then light stride, short path to the ball, hands really work, bat speed, line drive approach, finishes with extension. 85 mph exit velocity, 4.18 home-to-first from the left side. Athletic footwork in the outfield, quick exchanges, high three-quarters arm action, 78 mph throwing velocity, accurate throws.

6/17/14 - Straws is an athletic 5-foot-11 170-pound left handed hitting outfielder.  Straws was impressive with his speed, running a 4.18 home-to-first from the left side and a 6.89 60.  With the bat, Straws starts in an athletic position and uses a toe touch to load.  He has a line-drive approach to the middle of the field and produces an exit velo of 89 MPH.  In the outfield, Straws is aggressive getting to the ball and gets good reads off the bat.  He has a fluid exchange as he plays through the ball, making somewhat accurate throws.  He has a positional velo of 75 MPH.
