Positional Profile: RHP

Body: 6-foot-2, 180-pound long and lean frame with room for added strength and size.

Delivery: Smooth up tempo rocker style delivery.  Slight coil with hips and shoulders at balance point.  Works downhill on the mound with good direction towards the plate and well-balanced finish.  Lands with a stiff front leg and rotates off of plant foot. 

Arm Action: RH.  Over the top arm slot with clean arm action and loose release.

FB: 81-83 mph, small arm side run with high release height.

CB: 71-72 mph, sharp 11/5 shape with good hand speed and sharp downward action. 

CH: 76-77 mph, Low spin rate with flat shape and arm side fade.

10/28/18 - Torpey is a 5-foot-11 145-pound right-handed pitcher in Missouri’s 2022 class. Torpey has a short takeaway and over the top release, loose arm action, hides ball well, smooth drop and drive type delivery, fastball at 66-70 mph, breaking ball shows signs of being a good pitch with continued development, sharp at times, controllable, 11-to-5 shape, 56-58 mph, commands change up, throws with near fastball arm speed, 63-65 mph, projection in build with long and lean frame, expect increases with physical maturity.
