6/26/18 - Makings has a strong, athletic build at 5-foot-10, 175 pounds. He ran a 4.19 home-to-first, one of the quickest times at the event, and posted an exit velocity of 85 mph. During batting practice, Makings has quiet hands, leg lift into his load, good barrel control, balanced throughout swing, contact to all fields with pop. Defensively, Makings shows off his athleticism, fluid footwork, works behind the baseball, good reads, high ¾ arm slot, long and clean arm action, positional velo of 70 mph, mostly accurate throws.

2/16/18 - Makings is 5-foot-10 175-pound a left-handed hitting outfielder in Missouri’s 2019 class. He ran a 4.19 home to first an had an 86 mph positional velocity.  At the plate, balanced stance preloaded on back leg, efficient load with quiet hands, hands control bat head, feel for the barrel, showed ability to turn on pitches, mostly middle to pull side contact during hitting evals.  In the outfield, 74 mph positional velocity, high there quarters arm slot, fluid transfer, aggressive to the ball, works behind and through the catch, clean glove to hand transfers.

11/4/17 - Makings is a 5-foot-10 170-pound left-handed hitting outfielder in Missouri’s 2019 class.  He ran a 7.28 60 and a 4.41 home to first.  He has an 80 mph exit velocity. At the plate, starts with some weight loaded in back side, sightly open, controlled leg lift and stride, fast bat speed, middle to pull contact during hitting evaluations, natural lift in swing path.  In the outfield, 80 mph positional velocity, quick and aggressive to the ball, plays through the ball, crow hop, over the top release, mostly accurate throws with athletic actions.
