1/18/16 - Brown is a 6-foot-1 155-pound right-handed hitting outfielder.  He ran an event best 3.91 home-to-first, top for the event, and had an 80 mph exit velo. At the plate, open stance, no wasted movement in load, short path to the ball, solid consistent contact to middle of cage, loose hands with level path.  In the outfield, 77 mph positional velo, takes route behind the ball, plays through the catch, crow hop, over the top release, clean arm action, accurate throws. On the mound, Brown’s fastball has late life, sitting 77-80, touching 81 mph, top LHP fastball velo of the event, fastball works downhill.  Curveball has 2-to-8 action, at 64-65 mph and change-up is down in the zone at 67-68, throws for a strike, late arm side release.  Projectable and lean frame with loose arm action, suggests velo increase with development, over the top release, with repeatable delivery.  Has feel for three pitches.

10/31/15 - Brown is a 6-foot 155-pound right-handed hitting outfielder and left-handed pitcher from Missouri’s 2018 class.  Brown starts in an open stance, pull side approach, level bat path to extension, upper half dominate, 74 mph exit velo, runs a 7.07 60, and 4.63 home-to-first.  In the outfield, 76 mph positional velo, crow hop, high three-quarters release, loose arm action, plays through the catch. Brown had one of the top lefty fastballs in the the event and the 2018 class at 83 mph max, works 79-81 mph, over the top release, high number of strikes at knees, clean arm action, stays tall throughout delivery, stays inline, lands square, throws with regular effort and smooth rhythm.  Curveball thrown for a strike at 64-66 mph, 12-to-6 action, consistently down in zone, change up at 69-71 mph.
