10/4/14 - Gonzales showed bat-speed in two games, adding a double to left-center and a triple to right center, getting down the line at 4.69-seconds on the double.  In the outfield, Gonzales took proper routes to the ball and made strong throws to cuts and to bases.

6/17/14 - Gonzales is an athletic 5-foot-11 165-pound left handed hitting outfielder.  Gonzales posted a 7.14 60 time and a 4.41 home-to-first.  Combined with his speed, Gonzales posted one of the events top outfield velos at 83 MPH.  He moves to the ball with a purpose and takes good angles to be behind the ball to make accurate throws with carry to his target.  He has a fluid exchange with a quick arm.  At the plate, Gonzales starts in an athletic position with a simple load.  He produces a quick bath with level a bat path and good extension.  He has a line drive approach to the middle of the field, squaring up the ball in batting practice.  He had an exit velo of 85 MPH.  

6/17/14 – Gonzales, a 5-foot-11 165-pounds LHP had a fastball at 75-81 MPH with slight run.  He has a high 3/4 release and a 1-to-7 curveball at 66-70 MPH.  He has a change up with some arm side release at 68-72 MPH.  Gonzales has a quick arm with smooth rhythm during his delivery.  He throughs with regular effort and shows good command for three pitches in the zone. 

1/20/14 – Gonzales is an athletic 5-foot-10 165-pound right handed hitting outfielder and one of the top performers of the event.  He recorded one of the top velos from the outfield at 81 mph and ran a 7.29 60.  Gonzales has a clean, fluid exchange that produces good carry and accurate throws to the bag.  Offensively, he displays a right handed swing with good bat speed that will produce gap-to-gap pop.  He recorded one of the top exit velos at the event at 83 MPH.

1/20/14 – The 5-foot-10 165-pound Gonzales showed just as well on the mound as he did in the field at the event.  Gonzalez has the ability to throw three pitches in the zone for strikes, with a fastball that hits 77 MPH.  His mechanics are very repeatable with a simple leg lift and quick arm.  His fastball was consistently down in the strike zone with some run.  He has a 1/7 curveball with late break that is thrown with fastball arm speed. Gonzales was clocked at 69-70 with his curveball and 68-89 with his change. His change had late sink and was thrown with near fastball arm speed.  Gonzalez is a player to keep an eye on in the 2016 class as a pitcher and position player.
