GCS Open Invitational: At 6-foot-1, 190-pounds Perry is a physically strong catcher who demonstrated polished footwork and received with soft hands and a firm wrist. Perry showed advanced blocking technique and accuracy on his throws, putting the ball glove-side on the bag. His pop times were a consistent 2.28-2.31. At the plate, Perry has a strong lower half, which he uses well to power through the baseball. He stays strong through the ball, and creates excellent backspin carry with some big time power potential.

2/20/12:  Behind the plate, the 6-foot-1, 208-pounder showed good with in his blocking form and received the ball well with a strong wrist.  He recorded 2.00-2.12 pop times and delivered strong and accurate 76-80 mph throws to second base. With a quicker transfer, Perry should see consistent sub 2.0 pop times. At the plate, the right-handed hitter took an aggressive approach to the ball and used his strong hands to create good barrel whip, which generated backspin carry to all fields.
