8/2/16 - Baker is a 5-foot-11 175-pound right-handed hitting catcher in Missouri’s 2017 class.  He ran a 8.07 60 and a 5.18 home-to-first. At the plate, thin set up, aggressive swing with loose hands, gap to gap approach, short path to contact.  Behind the plate, pop times between 2.08 and 2.33-seconds, 76 mph positional velo, one of the best for the event, high exchange, quick transfer, short over the top release, mostly accurate throws.
2/21/16 - Baker is a 6-foot- 205-pound right-handed hitting catcher and pitcher in Missouri’s 2017 class from Aurora.  He ran a 4.62 home-to-first and has an 83 mph exit velo.  At the plate, has a tall relaxed set up, open stance, to touch, level path with loose hands, gap-to-gap approach.  Behind the plate, over the top release, 2.14 to 2.34 pop times, 73 mph positional velo, clean transfer with fluid footwork, mostly accurate throws, loose arm. Solid frame. On the mound, simple delivery from the wind-up, high three-quarters slot, some effort and recoil in delivery. Fastball 77-80 mph, with mostly cutting action. Gradual 12/6 to 11/5 breaking ball, 58-62 mph. Straight change-up, occasional sink, 71-73 mph.
7/14/15 - Baker is a 5-foot-11 170-pound right-handed hitting catcher in the 2017 class from Aurora HS.  He had pop times between 2.09 and 2.31, high three-quarters slot, quick foot work, fluid exchange. 75 mph positional velo.  At the plate, balanced set-up, reverse toe tap, in line stride, loose hands, quick bat speed, gap-to-gap approach in BP, feel for the barrel, 77 mph exit velo.
