Body: 6-foot-2, 205-pound physical frame
Hit: LHH. At the plate starts with a neutral stance and athletic posture. Big leg kick with weight working strong over the top of the back leg. Slight lean back in the posture with lower half working short and rotationally into a firm plant leg. Hands get set well below shoulder height with a vertical bat angle. Slight uphill bat path with looking to get the ball up in the air. Hands work very quickly through the zone and shows solid bat speed metrics.
Power: 88 mph exit velocity in BP.
Arm: LH. OF-83 mph.
Run: 7.28 runner in the 60.
Delivery: On the mound uses short and simple footwork around the rubber working to the far third base side and striding directionally down the center of the mound. Up tempo pace to the delivery and repeats mechanics and rhythm well. Shows the ability to slide step in rhythm. Works directly over the top of the back leg at the top of the delivery with a tall and fall style down the slope.
Arm Action: High arm slot with a longer arm action on the back end and shorter release.
FB: 83-86 mph, heavy arm side run and sinking action.
CB: 75-76 mph, big shape with some downward biting action and loose spin.
CH: 78-79 mph, fastball hand speed with some fading action to the arm side.
Klayton Kiser: LHP/OF, (2023) Willard, MO. 6-foot-2, 185-pound mature frame. During batting practice, Kiser had a max exit velocity of 81 mph. Began in a crouched stance with a small load, then used a big leg kick to start his swing. Bat speed was above average, displayed upward swing plane and high finish. He found multiple barrels through his round. Pull side approach. Above average from the outfield, his best throws to the bases were registered at 79 mph; had a clean exchange, consistent footwork and soft hands. Used a high slot and a long arm action. Clocked a 60 time of 7.52 at the event. Projectable on the mound, showing good arm speed he used a long arm action and a high arm angle. Feel type pitcher who uses some effort. Showed athletic balance point and uphill shoulders. Lands open with an athletic finish. Produced a fastball that came in at 77-79 mph with a max of 80 mph; shows in the zone control and running action. Shows plus action and command low in the zone on his changeup (72-72). His curveball showed some action.
